Parchment Cone Tutorial

Parchment Cone Tutorial
Step 1: Cut parchment paper into an isosceles triangle. (Cut depending to your needs. A larger piece of parchment paper will  hold more icing, however a smaller cone gives you more control for detailing.)

Step 2:  Roll right corner in towards bottom corner and curl under. The two triangle tips should meet.

Step 3. Roll left corner over and curl under to form a cone.

Step 4: Align all three corners to create a closed sharp end point. Then, fold down the loose corners.

Step 5: Fill with icing and fold the opening corners down to seal the cone.

Step 6. Cut tip with scissors. (If you are going to use a decorating tip, cut tip of the cone and insert tip BEFORE filling in your cone.
Step 7: Decorate your cake or cupcake!

 Tips: Fill cone only half way full. It will give you better control and help prevent icing from seeping out the top seams. Use scotch tape to reinforce the seams and folds.

{thanks for peeking in on my blog}

I always wanted to know how to do this. I must have been folding it wrong because I always ended up with a mess!
