Thanks for posting that!! I've always wondered how to make really good buttercream frosting. I found a good recipe last year for our Christmas cookies but it wasn't "official" buttercream!! You make it look so easy! I'm really loving your blog...my daughter wants to learn how to bake (she's only 4) but I'm not a baker so I'll be sure to come visit your blog often to get some more tips and ideas!

BTW, I'm in Northern CA too!

Yum, buttercream is my most fav icing. Thanks for sharing that. The canned stuff is just not as good. I'm also going to add your button on my blog :o)

Perfect frosting! I almost always use vanilla, so I'll have to have a whirl with almond. Having a giveaway on my blog. Come visit!

Love that tutorial - and the frosting is great! I need to make that.

I think adding the almond extract is a great idea. I don't know why but I never thought to add it to my buttercream. It's the "secret" ingred. in my sugar cookie recipe and I put it in my french toast batter. Can't wait to try it.

Great little video.....but am I the only one who noticed the Amazon add for Wilton's Meringue? It says the Best Price is $4.33
or you can
BUY NEW for $5.29
Call me crazy....call me fussy....
but I would never buy used food products. :-)
Love your blog.

Have a beautiful day.
