Piping Gel
Notes: Piping gel can be very useful. It can be used as "glue" to adhere edible decorations together or to the cake, and for writing by either tinting the gel with color or by adding it to thin consistency buttercream.
Comment and share with others if you use piping gel for other cake decorating needs.
Ingredients:
2 envelopes/2 tablespoons Knox unflavored gelatin
2 tablespoons cold water
2 cups light Karo syrup
Instructions:
1. In a sauce pan, stir gelatin in water. Set aside for 5-6 minutes.
2. Place sauce pan over stove top and heat mixture over low heat. (Do not let mixture come to a boil.)
3. Add syrup and stir into mixture.
4. Once well combined, store and allow it to cool in the refrigerator and solidify.
*If refrigerated, your piping gel will stay up to 2 months.
Happy Cake Decorating!

Hi, thanks for visiting my blog! This wasn't the best example of what to do on Flashback Friday....I've been finishing up my grad school semester and have been overwhelmed with that! Please stop back by next weekend to see a better example!
Oh so true. Like using baking soda instead of baking powder. Happened more times than I can count. Apparently I've yet to learn that little lesson. Found you on SITS. Great blog!
Thanks for this recipe. I've always been interested in doing my very own and this was just perfect.
