Genius!!! I just found your site tonight, and I love it! My cakes just got outta the oven, and the cake release I made worked perfectly! I used strips of towels, I didn't need to use a knife on the sides or anything, just turned them over and they literally fell out. I love your tutorials, so thorough, Thank You! =]

Good tips, on keeping the cake level when it is baking. I have never tried the baking strips and I always have to level my cakes, but then I have to deal with more crumbs when icing. So, I'll have to try some of these things out next time.

Damla,<br /><br />I'm glad your cake turned out great!<br /><br />As for the towels, if you are asking if they will burn and catch fire, no they should not. When dampened, they should stay just fine and just brown in parts that touch oven metal.
